Forward into Life

A Quote Acrostic: For PAD 19 Writers Digest: using the word/concept burn

Better to burn a candle at both ends than
to never burn a candle at all. Better to
burn your bridges and do with
out what’s left behind
than to endure
rust and corrosion that reams
out your heart and soul.

“Better to burn out than to rust out.” Neil Young

  1. I agree, because I have always lived life fully (sometimes to my detriment. See the tag "Amy: The Lost Years," which chronicles my lack of boundaries in late 70s L.A.). Also, being an undiagnosed manic depressive for my first 50 years, I have more indiscretions under my belt that I can remember!

Loved the Neil Young quote. A poem I wrote a long time ago has a kinship with this one, so permit me to share it. Peace, Amy
