Shadorma

               Blessings

So much need
in this broken world,
so much pain
and sorrow
and hunger and tears and fears.
I feel so useless.

So I cry
at all the faces
on TV
moms, kids, men,
swollen bellies, flies on cheeks
and switch the channel.

Then at night
their faces haunt me.
Why not me?
Why bless me?
Blessed to bless others, I hear
You say. Show me how.
